First Lap Race Cars

I want to start off by saying I am extremely sorry for the lack of updates during race season. Once we got to mid season and were repairing cars it made getting to the computer tough. I do want to thank everyone that reached out and inquired and rented cars this season. FLRR built rides won 7 out of 14 races with 4 different drivers making it to the winners circle. We had numerous heat race wins, podiums, and top 5 finishes. In fact there was not one race this season we didn’t have at least one representative on the podium! Friday Night June 24 was the first night we have competed with 4 cars in the OPS Cruiser division. FLRR began by sweeping both heat races with father and son duo Ethan and Bob Guptill winning their respective heats. For the feature all 4 FLRR survived the destruction and ended up with a 1, 2, 3, 4 finish on the night with Ryan Varney (54) taking the win Ethan Guptill (14) coming home 2nd Paul Hopkins (09) finishing 3rd and FLRR Owner Bob Guptill (9) coming home 4th. Cars are back in action this SATURDAY night July 2nd as part of fireworks night with 10+ divisions on tap!

3 FLRR cars took the green this past friday night at Oxford Plains. #14 Ethan Guptill got 2nd in his heat but ran into transmission trouble come feature time. Paul Hopkins was in the #09 Monte Carlo for this week ad got 3rd in his heat and made an impressive drive from 12th to 6th in the eventful feature. Bob ran the #54 Grand Prix to work some bugs out of it and finished 2nd in his heat and was running 2nd in the feature before making contact with the outside wall on lap 3. Bob had to pit but then drove from 12th all the way back up to 2nd for his first podium of the season!

FLRR opened up its rental program on Memorial Day at Oxford Plains Speedway. Dalaney Dunn from Otis, ME joined Ethan Guptill as he starts his championship run in the Cruiser Division at Oxford. Ethan and Dalaney both won their respective heats with Ethan leading the first 17 laps before Dalaney overtook him in the FLRR #09 and held on for the win. Ethan Guptill held on for 2nd. We are back in action on Friday 6/10 for race #2 of the 2022 season!

For the past 7 days we have had 2 of our FLRR Cruisers on display at the Auburn Mall in Auburn, ME on Saturday 3/26 an award ceremony was held and our cars got 1st and 2nd in the best appearing midweek c class.
